All for one and one for all
This is how the 3 musketeers always stood for each other. In this era, when you feel that everyone is out trying to find fault with the doctors, when the patients are ready to sue you for normal unfavourable outcomes, the least we can do is stick together and support each other. There should not be any uncharitable remarks regarding previous treatments done.
For this to happen, there should be uniform protocols for uniform treatment. We are planning a host of CMEs on regular day – day issues. All are requested to attend these CMEs and put the take home messages into practice. Let us learn the internationally accepted protocols and treatment modalities.
Unless we evolve over time, we cannot progress. If you want any topics discussed, please let us know.
NMOGS right from its inception has been in a continuous growing phase especially with academic programmes, all thanks to the great efforts by the previous teams. We nmogsians believe in the saying "Knowledge is Power and it is the only thing that increases when shared with others". The old team has passed the torch to us and we promise that we will strive hard to carry the rich legacy forward.
Updating ourselves and putting our knowledge to wisdom is practically very important. During our tenure, we will take special interest in conducting CMEs on clinically relevant and upto date topics which have never been described in detail in our textbooks. Few of them are on female obesity, enhanced recovery after surgery, antibiotic stewardship, redefining postpartum care and so on. We also have yearly Impact CME on social causes ( April 2019 being on Palliative care), MP CME on infertility treatment advances, annual conferences discussing a special scientific content in detail. Gynae-oncology, fetal medicine and medicolegal aspects are also described in separate educational programmes. Satellite events in the periphery will also be conducted.
As obgyns we have many great challenges but together we can overcome them. A uniform protocol in practice can help us all to deliver the best of care to our patients and also prevent litigations to a major extent. We hope to put across a standard treatment in the whole of Navi Mumbai with such protocols and of course with all your acceptance and help. Our society stands for its members and will flourish and spread only with your whole hearted support. Let us all work together, improve our knowledge and impart better care to our women.
