CME-Theme: - Different Strokes

Date: 25th March 2018
Time:
Venue: Vashi

The day began with a yummy breakfast arranged by in Tunga Hotel, one of the oldest and well known hotels in Vashi.

But the real feast started with Dr. Sanyals lecture on Anemias, Hemoglobinopathies and their management in pregnancy. His signature enthusiasm was infectious and soon it turned into a very educative and interactive session for all the attendees.

It was soon followed by Dr. Mandar Nadkarnis refresher course on breast lumps and their management. It was quite an eye opener in the recent advances in CA breast management and breast sparing surgery. Dr. Yogesh Kulkarni followed it up with his take on adnexal masses and tumor markers and that too was very informative. Then Dr. Rajan Vaidya took us on a journey about progesterone and RPL and how despite being an old drug , in its various forms it is as good as gold in RPL and high risk pregnancy.

Dr. Chandrakant Sanklecha spoke about benign endometrial hyperplasia and it's management and it's do's and don'ts.

That was soon followed by a spirited panel discussion helmed by Dr. Ameya Purandare and Dr. Asha Dalal on the myths and realities of hormonal contraception. The moderators and panelists were very well prepared and it was like a short course study on contraceptives. This was followed by a delicious lunch.

All the 47 delegates who attended enjoyed the academic feast on an otherwise mundane Sunday.

Dr Asawari conducted CME very well.
